BECKVILLE – Arp scored twice in the second quarter and never gave up the lead, holding on for a 20-10 win over Beckville in District 9-2A Division II play.

Demontrae Wade carried 23 times for 99 yards and a touchdown for Arp. Dakota Shores completed 4 of 8 passes for 54 yards and one score.

Trey Lindsay passed fro 236 yards and rushed for 36 in the loss for Beckville.

After a scoreless first quarter, Arp scored twice in the second stanza on an 18-yard pass from Shores to Demarvion Overshown and a 13-yard run by Caleb Wright.

Beckville got on the board in the fourth with a 30-yard field goal from Carlos Campos, but Wade’s 16-yard TD run with three minutes remaining sealed the deal for Arp.

Lindsay’s 1-yard run for Beckville came as time expired to make the final 20-10.
