Brook Hill 17, Frisco Legacy Christian 6
BULLARD – The Brook Hill Guard jumped out to an early lead on Frisco Legacy and captured a 17-6 victory on Tuesday at Brook Hill.
The game was decided quickly as the Guard exerted its will early with eight runs in the first three innings.
A walk by Tyler Overbeek, an RBI single by Seth Brasher, a two-run single by Josh Jenkins, and a groundout by Logan Fitzgerald during the first inning helped Brook Hill put some runs on the board early.
Parker Clark racked up three RBIs on four hits. He doubled in the second inning, tripled in the third inning, and singled in the first and fourth innings. Ryan Cox recorded the win for Brook Hill. He allowed three runs over four innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered two hits.
Brook Hill easily handled Frisco Legacy pitching as seven hitters combined for 17 hits, 15 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
P J Snider was charged with the loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
Brook Hill quickly matched Frisco Legacy’s strong inning with a three-run inning of its own in the third. The Guard scored on an RBI single by McCray Fletcher, an RBI single by Chase Moore, and an RBI triple by Clark.
Brook Hill scored nine runs of its own in the fourth. Brook Hill Guard Varsity scored on an RBI double by Jenkins, a two-run single by Logan Langford, a two-run double by Moore, a two-run single by Clark, an RBI double by Brasher, and a fielder’s choice.
Grace Community 11, Dallas Christian 0
Grace Community’s Evan Robert, Garrett Tauscher and Jake Wright each had doubles in an 11-0 win over Dallas Christian. Grace’s Jake Wright (2 for 3, 2 RBIs), Evan Robert (2 for 2, 2 RBIs) and Josh Spitzer (2 for 2, 2 RBIs) led the way on offense.
Evan Robert worked around seven walks with nine strikeouts to get the win on the mound for the Cougars.
Softball
Lufkin 11, Whitehouse 1
Whitehouse was held to four hits Tuesday in an 11-1 loss to Lufkin.
Mahayla Mitchell ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed nine runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out four.
The third inning saw Whitehouse score its only run on the day on an RBI single by Mitchell.
Rockwall 15, Robert E. Lee 0
ROCKWALL – Robert E. Lee’s bats were held down by Rockwall in a 15-0 loss Tuesday.
Lee managed three hits against Rockwall after falling behind 6-0 in the first inning and 11-0 in the second. Rockwall had 11 hits and committed one error while Lee had three errors in the loss.
Van 3, Brownsboro 0
VAN – Brownsboro managed five hits, but couldn’t push any runs across against Van in a 3-0 loss Tuesday. The hits were by M.J. Alexander, Cassie Blevins, Morgyn, Chelsea Foster and Katie Knabel.
The Lady Vandals were led by Racheal Thomas, who went 4 for 4 at the plate. She doubled in the first inning and singled in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.
Van’s Bailey Daniels allowed no runs on five hits while striking out five.
