Brownsboro woman charged with murder in weekend shooting

BROWNSBORO (KYTX) – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting after a woman walked into the Brownsboro police station on Sunday and stated she had shot a man.
The investigation began after 55-year-old Danna Busby met with an officer at the police station and told him she shot Wendell Harris in his home on Moss Street in Brownsboro, and that she still had the gun in her possession.
Authorities found Harris in his home dead from an apparent gunshot wound. They believe the shooting happened between 5:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Sunday.
Busby was arrested and charged with murder. She is currently in the Henderson County Jail on a $2 million bond.
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, District Attorney’s Office investigators and the Texas Rangers are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
