The University of Texas at Tyler has launched an informative academia resource, Dr. Alecia Wolf, assistant dean of the graduate school, announced.

Scholar Works is an online portal that showcases research and academic scholarship conducted at UT Tyler. This new tool is provided by a partnership between the UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library and the graduate school.

The collections will include undergraduate and graduate presentations, theses, projects and dissertations, as well as faculty and staff scholarship. Visit UT Tyler’s Scholar Works at scholarworks.uttyler.edu.

“The collections will continue to expand as we digitize even more historical items and incorporate photographs and videos of university events,” said Terra Bianchi Gullings, university archivist.

The portal also features a real-time global readership map, highlighting the international reach and significance of UT Tyler research.

“Search engine optimization within Scholar Works means that our publications are easily found by a web search,” said Margo Duncan, UT Tyler systems librarian. “Authors have the ability to track readership and interest in their works through the author dashboard or monthly readership reports sent via email.”

In addition, UT Tyler graduate students will now be able to upload manuscripts directly into Scholar Works, eliminating the need for emailed notifications and confirmations from the graduate school.

“This increases the speed and efficiency of the process and makes it much easier on the authors,” added Sydni Blundell, graduate admissions administrative assistant.

UT Tyler faculty and staff interested in adding scholarship to the portal may email Gullings at tbianchi@uttyler.edu.
