A 26-year-old Longview woman was fatally shot Tuesday at the Bella Oaks Apartments in the 300 block of Lake Lamond Road in Longview, although police have not ruled her death a homicide.

Alexis Bell, 26, was dead when officers arrived shortly before noon. Bell’s death marks Longview’s third shooting in less than week.

Longview police spokesman Gene Duffie said a person of interest was being questioned in connection with the latest shooting.
