- For just $10 a ticket, you can enter for a chance to win a 1965 Mustang. The iconic muscle car is a hardtop coupe with V8, 289 engine and automatic transmission. The exterior is painted silver smoke gray and has black exterior, and air conditioning.
Organizers are getting ready for next month’s annual East Texas Auto & Cycle Show, an event that has drawn car enthusiasts by the thousands every year since the 1990s, particularly with the car raffle.
“The raffle car creates an opportunity for everyone in the community to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault with a chance to get something in return,” said Jeremy Flowers, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for East Texas Crisis Center. “That something happens to be a 1965 Mustang.”

At just $10 a ticket, not only will participants get the chance of owning an iconic muscle car but they will also contribute directly to the support of essential services provided by the East Texas Crisis Center, as 100 percent of the donations will fund the nonprofit.
“It is an exciting way to make an impact in the lives of survivors in East Texas,” Flowers said.
The car is a hardtop coupe with V8, 289 engine and automatic transmission. The exterior is painted silver smoke gray and has black exterior, and notably has air conditioning.
“Back in ‘65 they didn’t make them with AC… and in Texas, that’s kind of an important aspect,” Flowers said.
East Texas Crisis Centers provides safety, shelter, counseling, advocacy, and education to survivors of family violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes in Smith, Wood, Rains, Henderson, and Van Zandt counties.
According to Flowers, the crisis center is 60% community funded.

“I want to encourage people to support the East Texas Crisis Center and this is an easy way to participate in supporting the Crisis Center with an opportunity to win something in return,” he said.
The drawing will be held during the 34th Annual East Texas Auto & Cycle Show on Saturday, March 16 at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler.
“We’re anticipating the largest crowd we’ve ever had,” Flowers said. “Last year, we had over 260 cars, over 20 vendors, music, a kid zone and food trucks. It’s just a really great atmosphere for the family to have fun, to get out and enjoy the day and to see some amazing cars, and to also donate to win a car.”
You can enter to win the Mustang by giving a $10 donation online at www.autoandcycleshow.com. The winner does not have to be present.
As of Monday evening, 2,921 tickets had been sold, raising $29,210 for the crisis center.
