The Martin, Walker Law Firm is hosting what organizers hope will become an annual exhibition of works by artists in the United States and abroad.

The Arcadia Art Show opens with a reception and after-party on Saturday.

The art will remain on view through Feb. 10. The law firm at 121 N. Spring Ave., on the downtown Tyler square, for decades was the site of the Arcadia movie theater.

From submissions, a three-person jury selected art by 30 artists for inclusion in the inaugural show. A Best in Show and People’s Choice awards will be presented.

The artists selected are based in the United States, Germany, Latvia, Japan, Mexico, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy, according to information on the art show’s website.

All the art work that will be on view will be for sale. A portion of money from sales will be used to finance future shows, according to the information.

Pieces selected include paintings, photography, sculpture and assemblage, according to information from Dace Lucia Kidd, a Tyler-based artist who is helping to promote the show.

Arcadia Art Show is being sponsored by the law firm, Cork Food & Drink, Rick’s on the Square, Group M7 Design and Granny Muffin Wines.
