Track and Field: Red Raiders first, Lady Raiders second at Pine Tree

LONGVIEW — The Tyler Legacy boys track and field team took first place at Pine Tree’s Graham Knowles Invitational, and the Lady Raiders took a second-place finish.
The Red Raiders grabbed 100 points, followed by Texas High (94), Marshall (71), Mount Pleasant (70.5), Pine Tree (69), Hallsville (60), Longview (48), Nacogdoches (42), Atlanta (40), Kaufman (25.5), Liberty-Eylau (0) and Tenaha (0).

Recording first-place finishes for the Red Raiders were Michael Peveto and Nathaniel Kirksey. Peveto placed first in the 1,600-meter run (4:37.46) and the 3,200-meter run (10:08). Kirksey won the pole vault (11-0).
Second-place finishes for the Red Raiders were Mason Maldonado (800 meters), Johnathan Rodriguez (1,600 meters) and Caleb Morris (high jump).
Third-place finishers for the Red Raiders were Gabriel Asad (800 meters) and Sir Christian Johnson (triple jump and high jump).
Also earning points for the Red Raiders were DaCarryon Hollie (fourth in 100 meters), Maldonado (fourth in 1,600 meters), Miller East (fourth in 3,200 meters), Jaishawn Lee (fifth in 110 hurdles and fourth in 300 hurdles), 4×200 relay of Jayden Mitchell, Hollie, Matthew Ross and Luke Wolf (fourth), Christian Lemons (sixth in long jump), Ke’Braylon Jackson (sixth in triple jump).
The Lady Raiders grabbed 112 points, which was behind Longview (141) and ahead of Kaufman (76), Nacogdoches (74), Texas High (63), Liberty-Eylau (33), Mount Pleasant (31), Atlanta (30), Pine Tree (30), Hallsville (27), Marshall (3) and Tenaha (0).
Recording first-place finishes for the Lady Raiders were freshman DeCaila Bailey, freshman Maddry East and Zion Smith. Bailey placed first in the 100-meter dash (12.24) and 200-meter dash (26.20). East won the 3,200-meter run (11:39.82). Smith won the long jump (16-8).

Second-place finishes for the Lady Raiders were East (1,600 meters), Smith (triple jump) and Taylor Woods (high jump).
Third-place finishers for the Lady Raiders were Landry Lay (800 meters), Ruthie Robinson (300 meter hurdles) and 4×100 relay of Kate Priest, Bailey, Jakira Williams and Emiya Attaway.
Also earning points for the Lady Raiders were Attway (fifth in 100 meters), Allinah Edwards (fifth in 200 meters and fifth in high jump), Sh’Kaydria Tucker (fourth in 400 meters), Lay (fifth in 1,600 meters), Mayson Maddox (fifth in 3,200 meters), 4×200 relay of Myracle Ford, Bella Gapinski, Mariah Coon and Williams (sixth), 4×400 relay of Smith, Tucker, Coon and Robison (fifth) and Madison Farmer (fourth in shot put).
