Arp tops Waskom

ARP – Tyler Stewart started and ended the scoring for Arp, and the Tigers broke open a close game in the fourth quarter en route to 27-7 win over Waskom on Friday at Herrington Field.
Stewart put the Tigers on the board with a 2-yard run with 4:37 to play in the opening period, but Waskom countered with a 4-yard run by Ty Carter with 3:16 to play in the half as the teams went in deadlocked at the break at 7-7.
Jacoby Hawkins hauled in an 83-yard pass from stewart with 4:36 to play in the third quarter, and then the Tigers tacked on two scores in the fourth on a 41-yard run by Kayce Medford and a 2-yard run by Stewart.
Arp (4-1) will visit Elysian Fields on Friday. Waskom (2-3) is idle.
