Entertainment Beat: Rose City Comic Con returns Oct. 29-30

Fans of cosplay, horror, sci-fi and fantasy get ready. It is almost time for the annual Rose City Comic Con.
Filled with panels, demonstrations, autograph sessions and even a ghost hunt, the event will take Oct. 29 and 30 at the Lone Star Event Center, 4036 Farm-to-Mark Road 2767 in Tyler.
Organizers have announced that several actors who are associated with the genres will be making appearances.
These include Kevin McNally, whose roles include Gibbs in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies; Rick Worthy, whose credits include “Star Trek Enterprise,” “Vampire Diaries” and “The Musicians”; and Elysia Rotaru, who has appeared in “Arrow,” “I Zombie,” “Supernatural” and “Fringe.”
Also set to participate is James Ward, a co-creator of “Dungeons and Dragons,” according to a posting on the website.
