A Kilgore woman has been arrested on a murder charge in connection with the stabbing death of her mother at a Longview apartment complex.

 Kayla Ann Wheeler, 28, was booked into the Gregg County Jail Thursday and her bond was set at $150,000.

 Wheeler arrived at the scene as police were investigating the death at Hidden Hills Apartments on Gilmer Road. She admitted in an interview with officers that she stabbed her mother in the neck after a physical altercation, police said.

 Wheeler’s mother’s name has not been released.
