STILLWATER, Okla. – Former John Tyler standout Kendall Hunter recently went back to Oklahoma State to complete his degree, earning his diploma on Saturday, Dec. 10.

The former Cowboys running back, who amassed more than 4,000 yards and 37 touchdowns before being drafted in the fourth round of the 2011 draft, tweeted a photo of him in a cap and gown saying, “Blessed! The grind is never over.”

Hunter spent five seasons in the NFL, most with the San Francisco 49ers.

Before heading to Oklahoma State, Hunter set the John Tyler record for career rushing yards with 2,799 from 2004-06. That mark was later tied by quarterback Jeremy Johnson before quarterback Bryson Smith passed it this season with 3,182 yards.
