Families gather almost daily to enjoy the outdoors at Bergfeld Park, but those looking to visit this week may have to wait until Thursday afternoon when the coming rains are expected to subside.
Jesse Moore a National Weather Service Meteorologist in Fort Worth said East Texans should expect clouds Wednesday, including a 60 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. The high is expected to be in the low 50s with east winds 5 to 10 mph.
“We’re going to have an upper level disturbance approaching from the west, and it’s going to be several of these disturbances that are going to come across during the next 48 hours,” Moore said. “So we are going to have chances for rain starting (Wednesday) afternoon and continuing (the) night and through Thursday, and the rain should be ending some time Thursday afternoon.”
