Studio Movie Grill set to open April 16

Tyler’s new Studio Movie Grill has set its opening day for April 16, and is now hiring more than 200 workers, the company has announced.

“We are excited to be opening our first East Texas location in Tyler and look forward to offering not only the best in in-theater dining for local residents but also to becoming a true partner in the community and providing our new Tyler neighborhood numerous econ- omic opportunities,” said Studio Movie Grill CEO and founder, Brian Schultz.

The theater and restaurant will be the chain’s 20th facility, with 12 movie screens. It’s located at 8954 S. Broadway Ave., in the Village at Cumberland Park.

“The Studio Movie Grill is so much more than movies,” Schultz said in a statement. “We offer one-stop destinations for dining, entertainment and a welcoming place to meet with friends and family. We’re a great choice for both special occasions and a simple night out.”

The 44,499-square-foot establishment cost an estimated $1.55 million, according to building permits. It will seat 1,500. Many of the movie seats will lounge seats and at dining tables, combining the experiences.



Studio Movie Grill is now hiring workers, as the April 16 premier date approaches. Prospective employees can apply in person with General Manager Scott Sinclair from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
