The bridges in Waco have been seen bathed in color-changing lights, slowly shifting from scarlet to violet to indigo.
Baylor paid $500,000 for the system. The setup can be programmed to portray the green and gold school colors when Baylor plays at nearby McLane Stadium.
A committee with officials from Baylor, the city of Waco and the Texas Department of Transportation are in control of the lighting schemes for holidays, games and other special events. The system provides indirect lighting for the towers, cables and decks of the bridges.
