Smith County Republicans, Democrats to hold watch parties on primary election night

The Hub at 304 E. Ferguson Street in Tyler is one of many voting centers on Election Day. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Community members are invited to local gatherings Tuesday night, as Smith County political clubs will each hold election night watch parties.

The Republican Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Rick’s on the Square, located at 104 W. Erwin St. in downtown Tyler. Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with candidates and party club members. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served, and guests can also order from the menu.



The Democratic Party will hold a social gathering at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at ETX Brewing Co. at 221 S. Broadway Ave in Tyler.

Candidates set to attend include Cody Grace, who is running for State Representative in House District 6, Smith County Precinct 1 Constable candidate Willie Mims, and Dave Hansen, who is running for County Commissioner Precinct 3.
