Tyler Junior College confers degrees to over 1,000 students

More than 1,000 students walked across the stage, ready to begin the next phase of their life, at Tyler Junior College graduation on Friday.

TJC recognized 1,022 graduates during the spring 2015 commencement ceremonies, held at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at Wagstaff Gymnasium.

TJC President Dr. Mike Metke conferred associate degrees and certificates for students after an invocation and benediction by the Rev. Charles Burns, senior pastor of New Zion No. 1 Baptist Church in Tyler.

The alumni salutation was presented by Amy McCullough. TJC Board members handed out the degrees and certificates.
