LONGVIEW (KYTX) – On April 27, 2015 Joey Huddleston, former Foster Middle School employee, was arrested by Longview Police for Online Solicitation of a Minor for sexual contact.

The suspect, Joey Huddleston, communicated over the Internet using electronic messages and text messages, to knowingly solicit a 15 year old male to arrange to meet him in the 2800 block of Airline Road. Police believe the purpose of this meeting was to engage in sexual contact with the minor.

Due to information gathered during the investigation police feel Huddleston may have victimized other children. Police encourage anyone with additional information contact Detective Audrey Wright at 903-237-1106.

Longview PD realizes that this type of crime is an extremely difficult crime for victims to report. However, more and more predators are using electronic communication to find, and then arrange meetings with, victims.

Parents please be aware of your child’s online presence. Monitor their social media usage, text messages, and anything that might seem as strange behavior for your child. Police encourage parents to get involved with your children and help prevent this type of crime.
