Jerry Bain

NAMED

Krista Wallace has been named Executive Director of the Christian Women’s Job Corps of Tyler. Wallace earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. In 1995, she and her husband moved to the Dominican Republic to serve with Young Life and develop a camp for teenagers. Wallace has her Master’s degree in Education from Framingham State University, a certificate in Educational Leadership from SUNY Buffalo and is a fluent Spanish-speaker.

 

CERTIFICATION

Jerry Bain, attorney with the law firm of Bain, Files, Jarrett, Bain & Harrison, has completed The Arbitration Institute. Bain can now conduct arbitrations and can provide alternative dispute resolution, confidentiality and convenient scheduling. The emphasis is on divorce and other family law-related issues, but he is certified to conduct arbitrations in any area of the law.



 

SCHOLARSHIPS

Austin Bank is proud to award college scholarships to 36 East Texas high school students as part of its Commitment-to-Community program that supports the educational goals of area youth. Included among this year’s scholarship recipients are: Sherra Holt, the daughter of Bill and Brenda Holy, of Tyler; Kacey Reeves, the daughter of Jason and Tiersa Reeves, of Tyler, both from Chapel Hill High School; and Trevor Carr, the son of Jeff and Michelle Carr, of Tyler, from Robert E. Lee High School.

 

SELECTED

The Texas Pharmacy Association (TPA) has selected Jim Cousineau, RPh, as the recipient of the 2015 Bowl of Hygeia Award for outstanding community service. The Bowl of Hygeia is sponsored by the American Pharmacists Association Foundation, the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations and the American Pharmacists Association with support from Boehringer Ingelheim. Cousineau is an employee of Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler. He earned his pharmacy degree from University of Texas College of Pharmacy.

 

ADMINISTRATOR

Patrick Swindle has been named administrator of ETMC Quitman. Swindle joined the ETMC Regional Healthcare System in April 2012 as program manager for the system’s FirstNet health information exchange. Since July 2014, he has served as manager of systems support for ETMC’s information technology department. Swindle earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Baylor University in 2010 and his master’s in health care administration from the University of Houston, Clear Lake in 2011.

 

RECEIVED

ETMC Tyler has received the Silver Performance Achievement Award from the American College of Cardiology for its commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients.

The award recognizes hospitals have that have sustained performance measure score composites of 90 percent or better in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction patients for four consecutive quarters.
