Revival is so needed

America is suffering from overwhelming problems. Morally and spiritually, Americans’ disgusting and disgraceful immorality is evidence of where we are spiritually.

A drastic change of direction is needed. Thirty years ago much of the disgusting behavior was not even on America’s radar. Now, the perverse antics are accepted and celebrated. Revival is so needed now.

Historically, the revivals brought a cultural change that nothing else could accomplish. Hope cries out to God for it with words like, “O how great is Thy goodness which Thou has laid up for them that fear Thee.” And “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8.

Hope is a call to fervently seek God. Just as the prophet Joel anguished over the callousness and complacency of God’s people in his day, we must also have this urgency as we realize the need for it. God promised the nation of Israel that humility, repentance, and prayer would lead to revival (2 Chron. 7:14)

Millions of Americans worship God, but the tragedy is that we forget His kingdom and fail to bow before the King because we are dazzled by the allurements all around us, courtesy of the Enemy. It is blatant Spiritual warfare between our sinful human nature and the influence of the Holy Spirit of God.

Revival can happen if we are willing to examine ourselves honestly and see ourselves as God sees us. God will bring every work into judgment, even every secret thing, whether good or evil. It’s true.
