Apaches cruise past Pro-Vision Prep, 116-67

KILGORE – Five Apaches scored in double figures as Tyler Junior College scored a 116-67 victory over Pro-Vision Prep of Houston on Saturday in the Don’s TV & Appliance Basketball Classic at Masters Gymnasium on the Kilgore College campus.
TJ Thomas, a sophomore forward from Atlanta, led the Apaches with 21 points, including five 3-pointers.
Aston Francis, a 6-0 freshman guard from Tyler, added 18 points, while Eden Ewing, a 6-8 freshman from Houston, pitched in 16. Francis, who was All-East Texas while at All Saints Episcopal School, hit four 3-pointers.
Kwinton Hinson, a 6-4 freshman guard from Fairmont, North Carolina, and Ronnie Stacy, a 6-4 sophomore point guard from Alexander City, Alabama, each contributed 13 points.
The Apaches return to Kilgore Nov. 13-14 to participate in the Kilgore Classic.
TJC’s next home game is Nov. 21 in the Region XIV conference opener against Jacksonville College. The contest has a 4 p.m. tip at Wagstaff Gymnasium.
