MARSHALL — Congressman Nathaniel Moran recently toured the First Congressional District where he visited with the Marshall Christian Academy at their chapel service, as well as several other school districts in the East Texas area.

Moran visited both public and private education institutions during his tour of the First Congressional District. He first attended the Marshall Christian Academy, where he spoke at their chapel service about his path to Congress and the values that he hopes to instill in students.

“The students asked about my path to Congress and the values that should drive each of us to serve our great nation,” said Moran. “I encouraged them to dream big, work hard, and never lose sight of their potential to make a positive impact on their communities and our country by serving God and serving others.”

The Marshall Christian Academy is a private Christ-centered educational institution which has served the community for over 25 years. The school incorporates A Beka textbooks as its primary curriculum and also partners with LeTourneau University to offer dual credit courses for students. Moran spoke about the priorities of the school and the students, as well as congratulated their recent basketball championship.

“I also reminded them to keep their God-ordained callings in priority order — faith, family and then vocation. Congratulations to the Marshall Christian Academy Guardians for winning both the Boys and Girls 2024 TCAL State Basketball Championship last weekend,” said Moran.
