Attebery to present William N. Paschal Bible Lectures at Jacksonville seminary

Dr. Philip Attebery will present this year’s William N. Paschal Bible Lectures at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the Dorman Memorial Chapel of the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary, 1530 E. Pine St., in Jacksonville. Attebery is the BMA Seminary dean. His lectures will be based on his recent research describing the experiences of assimilating new adult converts into BMA churches. The theme of his lectures is “That your fruit should remain, John 15:16.” The lecture topics are: “Describing New Convert Conversion,” 10 a.m. Tuesday; “Describing New Convert Anticipations and Hesitations,” 3 p.m. Tuesday; “Describing New Convert Assimilation Strategies,” 10 a.m. Thursday; “Describing Helps for Ministry Leaders, 3 p.m. Thursday.” The public is invited to attend. The William N. Paschal Family Endowment funds the lectures.
