The Tyler Fire Department on Sunday cleared the scene of a structure fire in South Tyler.

According to the Tyler Police Department, the fire broke out due to a lightning strike, just before 5 p.m., at Dairy Queen, in the 8800 block of S. Broadway Ave., near the Village at Cumberland Park shopping center.

The roof was damaged, but no injuries were reported. Officials say the location will be closed down until repairs can be made to the roof.
