Red Raiders Put In Seven

Robert E. Lee tied a season high by scoring seven goals in a 7-0 rout of DeSoto on a chilly Friday evening at Lee Soccer Field.

Senior Reed Pool continued his scoring ways, adding two more to his tally to give him nine for the season. That ties him with teammate Tanner Tebbetts for the team lead, who also scored in the match.

Other goals were provided by Mike Wilkins, Jorge Arellano (PK), Case Carnes and Giovanni Sosa. Assists were from Alexis Chavez, Tebbetts, Sosa and Diego Isidoro.

Lee also romped to victory in the JV match, winning 8-1.

The Red Raiders (3-2-0, 9 pts) have now won two straight as they prepare to face Mesquite at 7 p.m. Tuesday at E.H. Hanby Stadium.

 

Lady Raiders Blank DeSoto, 8-0

DESOTO — Seniors Taylor Tillson and Abby Jameson each scored two goals while REL also received goals from Brooke Johnston, Taylor Winchester and Betsy Arellano in a convincing 8-0 victory Friday at Eagle Stadium.

Assists were provided by Jameson (2), Tillson, Halbrook, Johnston, Dariana Avile and Kendall Bullock.

The victory keeps Lee (4-0-1, 14 pts) unbeaten in District 11-5A as the Lady Raiders (11-2-3 overall) prepare to face Mesquite at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lee Field.

REL also won the JV match 5-0. Team leaders were Hailey Dyess (2), Nicole Trpkosh (goal, assist), Lupita Yanzel (goal, assist).
