SAN ANTONIO — East Texas Christian Academy’s season came to a close Friday with a 3-0 loss to Wichita Falls Notre Dame in the TAPPS 1A state volleyball semifinals.

The Lady Panthers (15-8) advanced to state for the first time but came up short to the Lady Knights (18-4), who will face Boerne Geneva in the final today at 9 a.m. from the Blossom Athletic Center.

Geneva (25-2) defeated Bellville Faith (14-4) 3-0 in the other semifinal.
