A popular athleisure brand has made its way to Tyler.

lululemon opened in the Broadway Square Mall on Friday morning.

lululemon is a well-known athletic apparel brand that specializes in yoga and activewear for both men and women. Dallas and Shreveport are the closest locations to East Texas.

“Broadway Square is very excited to offer this retailer to our shoppers,” Candace Foster, the mall’s director of marketing and business development, said in a previous interview with the Tyler Morning Telegraph. “lululemon has been a top request.”

The location is in the Dick’s Sporting Goods wing of the mall, across from Bath & Body Works.

The store is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Ruby’s new location now open

JACKSONVILLE — A popular East Texas Mexican restaurant brand has expanded to Jacksonville.

Ruby’s Mexican Restaurant #4, owned by Ruby Abarca of Tyler, opened to the public on April 1. The new restaurant is located at 1009 S. Jackson St. in Jacksonville.

In a Facebook post, the restaurant said it was a long, busy first day. The restaurant thanked its staff and customers, who “showed up and showed out.”

The restaurant was originally announced in December 2022.

Abarca opened her first location in Tyler in August 2020 to a surge of customers. She quickly expanded and continues to, as she believes the sky is the limit thanks to the community and supporters around her.

She has five restaurants — three in Tyler, one in White Oak, and the most recent in Jacksonville — plus one food truck.
