SAN ANGELO — Tyler’s Cal Clyde is tied for sixth after Saturday’s second round of the 85th annual West Texas Amateur at San Angelo Country Club.

Clyde, a former Grace Community School golfer, is at 1-under 141 (71-70). Logan Philley, of Robert Lee, leads with a 136 (67-69).

Tied for second at 139 are Lewis Stephenson, of Mansfield; Michael Culin, of Plano; and Rob Couture, of Dallas. Ed Sanchez, of San Antonio, is fifth at 140.

Clyde is tied with Jay McHugh, of Midland.

Collin Thompson, of Longview, has a 149 (74-75).

Jerry Hudgins, of Tyler, is 10th in the Senior Division with a 148 (75-73). Mike Peck, of Irving, leads with a 135 (66-69).

The third and final round is today.
