BOSSIER CITY, La. —Life on the road is anything but easy.

Winslo Barry used his muscle inside for a near double-double and DeAndre Harris had a game-high 18 points as Tyler Junior College won its eighth straight basketball game Wednesday night.

Barry, a 6-10 sophomore from the Bahamas, had 12 points and nine rebounds to help the Apaches to a 60-54 win over Bossier Parish Community College at Cavalier Gymnasium.

“Real excited about the win,” TJC coach Mike Marquis said. “We had a couple of big emotional wins. We were due to have a game where everything didn’t click, yet we were still able to fight through and win. I felt like we got some big rebounds down the stretch, made a couple of big baskets when we needed them.”

Marquis said Barry had perhaps his best game ever in conference play.
