- Courtesy Ryan Wells of Tyler, Texas, has been identified as the burn victim recently discovered.
Smoke inhalation and thermal burns led to the death earlier this week of a Smith County man, sheriff’s officials said Friday.
The victim was found Monday in a collapsed, burning home in the 11000 block of County Road 495.
Using dental records, the medical examiner’s office identified the victim found as Ryan T. Wells, 36, of Tyler. Wells is a registered sex offender.
