TYLER (KYTX) – Fat Catz Louisiana Kitchen on Troup Highway has closed following a dispute with its property owner.

Chef Cedric Fletcher tells CBS 19 he hopes it will be a temporary shut-down. Fletcher says he’s considering re-opening in a new location.Fletcher also released a statement that reads:

“Restaurants are a tough business and I feel incredibly blessed to have led Fat Catz Louisiana Kitchen for 10 years, 8 of those right here in Tyler. The community has been receptive and supportive and it has been a great pleasure for me to serve fresh, delicious, seafood. We made every sauce by hand, hand breaded our shrimp and fish and made the rice dishes from scratch. We are so appreciative of those who supported this local business for these years. We will do everything in our capacity  to meet our obligations with our employees.”
