MAKER: Cleveland Steel Container in Kilgore
ANNIVERSARY: Cleveland Steel Container gave its Kilgore manufacturing plant employees a half-day off recently to celebrate the company’s 50 years of success. According to a Kilgore Economic Development Corp. report, Cleveland Steel chairman and CEO Christopher Page said he has given ownership of the company to the employees through an employee stock ownership plan during the last four months. He said the company began 50 years ago with 55 competitors and now has three.

Cleveland Steel Container (CSC) has a singular focus on steel pails.

CSC has five manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and opened its Kilgore plant in Synergy Business Park in 2007. Its headquarters are in Glenwillow, Ohio, and there are also plants in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Illinois
