Seven to serve Rose Queen

Seven children will serve in the Texas Rose Festival as attendants to Rose Queen Kathryn Elizabeth Peltier. The children will assist Miss Peltier, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peltier of Tyler, during her appearance in the lavish Rose Queen’s Coronation and will take part in the Rose Parade and Queen’s Tea.
The festival, “Cirque de la Rose,” is set for Oct. 16 through 19.
Emmy Elizabeth Brewer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Jay Brewer, of Tyler, attends All Saints Episcopal School.
Kathryn Brewer, her mother, was a trainbearer and a lady-in-waiting. Harris Kelley Brownlow, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Casey Brownlow, of Tyler, attends St. Gregory Catholic School.
Kelley Moore Brownlow, his mother, has served as the assistant to the Texas Rose Festival Association president and has chaired Coronation, Ladies’ Luncheon, Rose Show, Men’s Luncheon and Queen’s Tea committees.
Casey Brownlow, his father, was a president of the Order of the Rose. His brother, George Philip Moore Brownlow, served as an attendant.
Master Brownlow’s Tyler relatives also include Laura Brownlow, aunt, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Washmon, uncle and aunt.
Cline Chloe Jacqueline Cavender, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clay Cavender, of Tyler, attends All Saints Episcopal School.
Jacqueline Maria Skeens Cavender, her mother, has served on the Wardrobe Committee and has helped with graphics. Her father was an escort.
Other relatives who have been in the festival are Conley Jeanette Patricia Cavender, sister, attendant; Morgan Michelle Cavender, cousin, lady-in-waiting; and McClain Elizabeth Cavender, cousin, lady-in-waiting.
Miss Cavender also has a brother, Colton Clay Cavender.
Miss Oliva Grace Kerr, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Riter Kerr, of Tyler, attends Andy Woods Elementary School.

Claire Bergfeld Lofquist, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Dean Lofquist, of Tyler, attends Rice Elementary School.
Susan Bergfeld Lofquist, her mother, was a lady-in-waiting and served as the public relations chairman on the festival Executive Board and as chairman of Wardrobe, Men’s Luncheon, Rose Show and Queen’s Ball committees.
Susan Hood Bergfeld, her grandmother, volunteered on and chaired several festival committees. Julius Andrew Bergfeld, uncle, was a president of Order of the Rose. John H. Barr, great-uncle, was a Texas Rose Festival Association president.
