Memorial services for Thad Holt Blocker, III, 76 of Whitehouse, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019, in the chapel of Jackson’s Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home (215 E Front Street, Tyler, TX) with Rev. Walter Jones Officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service in the chapel.

Mr. Blocker passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Tyler. He was born August 8, 1942 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to the late Thad Holt Blocker, II and Zelda Baumgardner Blocker. Thad served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a fireman with the Denton Fire Department, and retired after 22 years. Thad loved being a fireman, and loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Ann Blocker of Whitehouse; two sons, Allen Blocker and Jason Engledow; daughters-in-law, Marca Blocker and Amanda Ruiz; two brothers, Noel Blocker and Landal Blocker; and by four grandchildren, Sydney, Jayna, James and Russell.
