Services for Sherman “Bubba Martin, Jr. are scheduled for Saturday January 26, 2019 12 Noon at St. James Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Dews officiating, Pastor Charles E. Fair eulogist. Sherman Martin, Jr. was born in Tyler, Texas to the late Sherman Martin and Laurette Sneed on July 28, 1943. He began his Christian journey at an early age and was a member of St. James Baptist Church. While in Milwaukee he was active with Mt. Zion Baptist. He was educated in Tyler and was a graduate of Emmett Scott High School class of 1962. He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1969. After the service Sherman moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After retired from the United States Postal Service after thirty plus years of service. He returned to Tyler after retirement and developed an intense interest in antiques, specially cars and trucks. He was a member of the Custom Truckers. Sherman is survived by his Mother, Laurette Sneed; two sisters, Martha Ann Gregory and Cavonne Jones. Wife, Margaret Martin; Son Kevin, step-son Eric; three grandchildren, special nieces, nephews; a host of cousins and many special friends. Public viewing at the funeral home 12 Noon-8:00 PM.
