SHREVEPORT, La. — Natasha Mack, younger sister of former TJC standout Dominique Shaw, had a double-double to lead No. 3 seed Angelina College to a 67-59 upset of No. 2 Trinity Valley on Friday in a Region XIV Women’s Basketball Tournament semifinal at the Gold Dome on the campus of Centenary College.

The Lady Roadrunners (28-3) advance to the regional final to face No. 1 seed Tyler Junior College (28-4) at 4 p.m. Saturday. The winner advances to the NJCAA National Tournament on March 18-23 in Lubbock. The Apache Ladies and Angelina split during the regular season with each winning on their home court.

Trinity Valley (26-4) has an excellent shot to receive an at-large bid to nationals.

Mack scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as AC rallied from a 13-point deficit in the first half. TVCC led 36-29 at halftime and 50-49 after three periods, but the Lady Roadrunners outscored the Lady Cardinals 18-9 in the final quarter.
