Suspect in Tyler shooting on the run

The Tyler Police Department has identified the man believed to have shot a 36-year-old woman at an apartment complex on Tuesday.

The department said officers Tuesday had not found Patrick Deon Daniels, 33, of Tyler, who is the suspect in the shooting of Jacklyn Radway, 36. Radway was shot in the chest at her apartment.



Officers responded to the shooting shortly after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Building C of the Liberty Arms apartment complex, 2601 N. Broadway Ave.

Police said Daniels left the apartment prior to police arriving.

Investigators found Daniels’ vehicle at his residence in the 11300 block of Grubbs Street in Smith County, but Daniels was not inside.

Police learned Daniels is the father of Radway’s children.

Investigators secured an arrest warrant for Daniels for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence.

Police said Radway was taken to a hospital where she initially was in serious condition.
