MOUNT PLEASANT — The Tyler Junior College soccer teams swept Northeast Texas Community College on Friday in a Region XIV Conference doubleheader.

In the first game, the Apache Ladies (5-0 overall, 4-0 in Region XIV) won 5-0. In the second game the Apaches downed the Eagles 2-0.

TJC is in action on Saturday at Paris. The women play at 2 p.m., followed by the men at 4 p.m.

WOMEN

Patricia Estupinan and Natalie Martinez each scored two goals for TJC with Mukarama Abdulai adding one goal.

Assists were from Patricia Estupinan, Marta Estupinan, Abdulai and Vicki Adam.

MEN

Jake Morris and Ralph Mangandoza scored goals in the first half and that’s all the Apaches (7-0, 6-0) needed.

Assists were from Tamar Clayon-Naute and Tahjae Green.

Carl Koester was in goal for the clean sheet.

TJC had six corner kicks to the Eagles’ one. TJC had 12 shots on goal to the Eagles’ 10.
