Slurpees and big gulp drinks could soon come to Tyler.

A service station and repair garage permit with a project name of “7-Eleven #1045202” at 4300 S. Broadway Ave. was issued Monday. The project has a value of $800,000, according to the city’s building permit website.

The convenience store is headquartered in Dallas with many locations across America, including 683 stores in Texas, according to the 7-Eleven website.

The space was formerly occupied by T.G.I. Fridays, which was recently demolished. The restaurant closed in June after 20 years in business.

Cielo Property Group of Dallas is listed as the property owner, while the Dimension Group in Dallas is listed as the permit applicant. A contractor for the project has not been determined yet, according to the city’s permit website.
