Sprouts Farmers Market is coming to Rose Plaza.

A large supermarket chain that specializes in fresh produce and natural and organic foods will soon come to a Tyler shopping center.

Sprouts Farmers Market Inc. states on its website that a Tyler location is coming soon.

Sprouts is one of the fastest growing retail organizations providing healthy living to its customers through its fresh, natural and organic products, according to the company.

Sprouts is headquartered in Phoenix and operates about 340 stores across the U.S. in 22 states, the company website says.

The city of Tyler has issued a building permit under the project name “Sprouts Tyler No. 157” for the Rose Plaza, which is the shopping center that formerly housed Hastings Entertainment. The address 4015 S. Broadway Ave.

The type of permit is called a commercial tenant finish-out and was issued and approved by the city Friday. The project has a value of $1.5 million, according to the city of Tyler permit website.
