Gary boys basketball coach Jimmy Wallace was selected as the winner of the TABC Don Coleman Award in Class 2A.

Other winners were Grand Prairie’s Barron Brown in 6A, Lake Creek’s Shannon Spencer in 5A, China Spring’s Phil McCaslin in 4A, Bells’ Troy Willis in 3A and Waelder’s David Graves in 1A.

Former Longview head coach Billy Goffney, now at Spring Westfield, was a finalist in 6A, and Nacogdoches Central Heights head coach Kevin Herron was a finalist in 3A.

Kerens girls basketball coach Denise Lincoln was the winner of the Dean Weese Award in Class 2A.

Martin’s Mill head coach Tommy Cross was one of the finalists in Class 2A.

Other winners were Cedar Hill’s Nicole Collins, Midlothian’s Amy Tennison, Brazosport’s Kayla Josey, Howe’s Derek Lands and New Home’s Stacy Manning.

Each class had four finalists, one from each region.
