District 21-2A girls basketball: Douglass dominates honors; Dayna Westbrook chosen as Coach of the Year

The Douglass Lady Indians won District 21-2A, and they were well represented in the league’s superlatives for the 2019-20 season.

The District 21-2A team was selected by the league’s coaches.



Douglass’ sophomore duo of Mariah Neal and Josie Watson shared Most Valuable Player honors. Douglass sophomore Madyson Freeman was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Year. Douglass freshman Abigail Richardson shared Newcomer of the Year honors.

Douglass head coach Dayna Westbrook — a former Tyler Lee standout — was chosen as the Coach of the Year.

Alto sophomore Mya Tyra and Cushing senior Kirsten McCormack shared Offensive Player of the Year honors.
