Patsy Fielding
BULLARD — Patsy Templeton Fielding, 77, of Bullard lost her 17-year battle with cancer but has Victory in Jesus. She will be laid to rest at the Bullard Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at a date to be determined. We know Patsy is standing at the pearly gates of Heaven today telling everyone to take their shoes off and come on in.
Mrs. Fielding passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 in Tyler. She was born August 14, 1942 in Cherokee County to Pat Templeton and Billie Jean Foreman.
Patsy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bullard. She used her God given gifts and talents in several different ministries that included: working with the youth department, starting the Awana Program at FBC, FBC Ladies Card Ministry, FBC Family Care Ministry, graciously cooked and fed many workers and children at numerous vacation Bible schools, Floral & Decorating committee and served on several other committees in the Church. She was an active member of the Trend Setters and enjoyed traveling with her friends and playing forty-two on game night.
Patsy held many names but the one that meant the most to her was “grandmother”. She played an active role in her community and was an active supporter of the Bullard Independent School System. She traveled many miles to watch and support her grandchildren and many other children she loved in the community through Bullard Panther Sports, Bullard Panther Band and the Bullard Belles Drill Team. Because of her many years of support, she was honored with her name on the Wall of Honor at Bullard High School.
In Patsy’s spare time she enjoyed reading her bible, being a prayer warrior for many, journaling, cooking, she loved her home and always took pride in keeping it spotless. She spent many hours planning our menu for family vacation which God blessed us with 27 years at the beach. She loved to have garage sales and became known as the “garage sale lady”. Sewing was her therapy and made two beautiful wedding dresses for her daughters. Patsy was the true meaning of “diva”. She loved dressing up and being fashionable. Everything matched to a “T”!
She graduated from Tyler High in May of 1960. This same year she married the love of her life, Billy Fielding on May 9, 1960. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year.
She held the position of appliance saleswoman for Sears and Roebuck for 27 years in which she retired in 1998.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her in-laws and many wonderful friends. She is survived by her loving family including her husband, Billy Fielding; her daughter, Jacque Timmins (Paul); her daughter, Jeanna Whatley (Brian); her four granddaughters, Kaitlin Timmins Maberry (Zach), Klaire Timmins, Raiven Whatley (Ryon) and Jarrett Whatley (Mason); her brother, Charles Templeton (Sandra); sisters-in-law, Nadine Lee (Albert), Karine Miller and Beverly Fielding; brother-in-law, Charles Fielding (Kay); and many nieces and nephews.
