Ron Raines, who graduated from Nacogdoches High School, was a soap opera villain.
On this date in 2006, he was up for Lead Actor in a Drama Series at the Daytime Emmy Awards as scheming Alan Spaulding on “Guiding Light.”
He was on the soap from 1994 until it ended in 2006. He has also had roles in Broadway musicals, operas, television shows and movies.
