“We’re paying this team member while they’re on leave and our thoughts are with them during this challenging time,” the statement read.
The center’s employees were notified of positive test result and have been given appropriate Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance, according to the Target spokesperson.
Northeast Texas Public Health District public information officer Terrence Ates said Target told NET Health Monday the employee notified Target that they tested positive for the virus.
Ates said companies will contact NET Health when an employee tells the company’s administrative staff about their positive test result. NET Health then provides strategies for preventing spread within the workplace and assists with the contact tracing process of the employee who tested positive.
When there are COVID-19 cases confirmed at any Target facility, stores and plants undergo deep cleaning and sanitation procedures.

We will continue to actively monitor this situation and respond accordingly.”
