Tony Romo told Tyler Morning Telegraph Sports Editor Phil Hicks he is withdrawing from the U.S. Amateur qualifier tournament about an hour and a half into the second round.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback told Hicks Wednesday at Tempest Golf Club in Gladewater will be back in Tyler for another tournament in July.
