The ‘Jacks earned the No. 3 seed in the Southland Conference Tournament after a 29-5 regular season record and a 16-4 league record. SFA ended the season on a 15-game win streak. It was SFA’s 19th SLC crown.

“I’m extremely proud of our group today,” Ladyjacks head basketball coach Leonard Bishop told The Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel after the championship game. “We’ve been fighting all year. We’ve been shorthanded all year. Again, we knew it was going to be a tough fight against a well-coached and a really good Southeastern Louisiana team. All credit to them, their team and their staff, but again I knew my team would find a way to win. That’s what we’ve talked about all year long. They definitely did that, so I’m extremely proud of them.”

Trinity Moore led SFA with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the win over SE Louisiana. She was named SLC Tournament MVP.

The Ladyjacks knocked off No. 2 Lamar on Wednesday before taking down No. 1 Southeastern Louisiana.
