November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month.

Savannah is an 8-year-old Red Heeler mix who is also a tripod. She plays well with everyone.

Senior dogs can be just as loving and loyal as younger dogs and they can make great additions to families. They can also be calmer than puppies, and they often have great manners.

Savannah is available for adoption at Pets Fur People in Tyler, fully vetted and ready for her own family. Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before a meet-and-greet can be arranged. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. — closed for lunch 1 to 2 p.m. Pets Fur People is the oldest brick and mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas.
