For Renicker Wealth Management of 2911 Wealth Advisors, giving back is more than a philosophy, it’s a newfound tradition. At an open house last week, the financial firm helped bring joy to children by contributing to Toys for Tots, a program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, which provides new toys to children in need during the holiday season.

“Toys for Tots… they were born out of the Marines and they are a good organization because they do such a good job of supporting the kids and the community… helping everyone have a great Christmas,” said Rob Renicker, managing partner of Renicker Wealth Management of 2911 Wealth Advisors.

Renicker has been a financial advisor for 20 years when Renicker Wealth Management of 2911 Wealth Advisors opened in July of this year. It is located at 7236 Crosswater Avenue, Suite 100 in Tyler.

“We had an open house to meet with clients and friends and family and so forth,” Renicker said. “But we also wanted to help provide toys for the little ones around the Smith County area that are less fortunate.”

However, it wasn’t just potential clients who helped fill eight boxes and two bags with toys; some of the employees contributed as well.

“They are awesome, each and every one of them,” said coordinator Regina Monn. “This trailer is totally full and that doesn’t come from not caring… you have to have a heart for it.”

Founded in 1947 by Major Bill Hendricks of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped toys and distributes them to children in need during the holiday season.

Through the generosity of the community, at least 1,500 families in Smith County will receive holiday cheer and support through the Toys for Tots program.

“Each baby or child will be extremely blessed and happy to get one of these toys,” Monn said. “Many children would not have gifts under the tree without us… so we want to make sure every child wakes up Christmas morning with a smile and have the Christmas they deserve.”
