The 2025 Doctor Luke Society honorees have been announced as Bethesda Pediatrics Medical Director Dr. Danny Price and Texas Oncology’s Dr. Frank Ward.

Price attended Athens High School and UT Southwestern Medical School. He did his residency at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.

Price began his career in Tyler after being hired by George Brown, the first board certified pediatrician in Tyler. After Brown called him into his office, he told Price he would be seeing Medicaid patients at St. Paul’s every Friday. In 2023, St. Paul Clinic merged with Bethesda Health and became Bethesda Pediatrics. Price has continued working with Medicaid and low-income patients at Bethesda.

Ward is a general oncologist at Texas Oncology. He attended Harvard Medical School and has been practicing for over 20 years. Ward did his residency in internal medicine at the National Capital Consortium and his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the National Capital Consortium, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Doctor Luke Society honors doctors making an impact on the Tyler community. In 2004, Bethesda Health Clinic started the Dr. Luke Society to honor local physicians. The honorees are selected because they reflect the characteristics of Colossians 4:14.
